As in many biomedical topics, inflammation is facing a highly increasing data volume. Processing that data and extracting relevant information is a great challenge. Mathematical analysis will for sure give the tool keys to better process that data. This is one major direction for joint research between biomedical and mathematical teams in inflamex.
The second direction concerns the elaboration of new models, based on a good understanding of the biophysics between inflammatory diseases. The new models may be based on Differential Equations and tend to give predictions for the evolution of inflammatory processes. Stochastic and probabilistic approaches will be explored as well.
